Social distancing has allowed for more time to self-reflect and be introspective than we know what to do with. And yet, the natural human tendency is to avoid feeling what we are feeling. So, we binge netflix or furiously tackle the to do list that’s build up for the last 3 years or anything in between.
Attending to your emotional experience of this time is an important aspect of developing greater resilience to get through difficult times, whatever may come. Whether this pandemic leaves you thriving or barely
surviving, give yourself the space and time to journal a few thoughts.
Grab a notebook and a pen. Open up the blinds to let in some natural light or sit outside and feel the sun’s rays. Be honest with yourself about your experience, without judging it, and just let the words flow.
